A lot of Nomadic State of Mind’s signature rope sandals are being made in a former coffee farm in Nicaragua. The brand taught a small community how to make sandals as a means to support itself and create a constant income source, and offer a source of joy too! Let’s face it: who wants to run a business without any joy? The brand hopes to grow their business and be able to offer employment to a larger part of the community. All Nomadic State of Mind sandals made in Nicaragua are produced domestically using vintage manufacturing equipment. The soles are cut by hand with the vintage 1970's tread then imprinted on the bottom and glued on, using low v.o.c glue. It is perhaps a time consuming process, but the brand also recycles existing machinery from factories, all in an effort to support a sustainable business.
